DJ Jason and DJ James Galus (aka DJ Saint James) had a gothic industrial night called Shadowplay in 1997. DJ Jason played goth and DJ James Galus played industrial. For this special band event on April 11th, DJ Jason booked six extra gothic industrial scene djs to spin. This number of DJs in one room was unheard of previously in the goth scene. It’s success lead to the Absolution party and Absolution’s multi-DJ format being made.
